New appointment at Sommet Education

Clarens, 11 November 2016 – Sommet Education group expands its management team with the
arrival of Benoît-Etienne Domenget, Chief Executive Officer, Sommet Education based in Clarens,
Switzerland in January 2017. This new appointment comes in addition to the recent arrival of
Fabien Fresnel, Chief Operating Officer, Sommet Education. Sommet Education encompasses
Glion Institute of Higher Education and les Roches Global Hospitality Education, both among the
world’s top three institutes of higher education for an international career in hospitality (TNS
Global Survey, 2013).

Benoît-Etienne Domenget, Chief Executive Officer of Sommet Education

Benoît-Etienne Domenget started his career with Accor Group, managing different hotel
properties in Paris before leading the strategic development of the group in Europe, Middle-East
and Africa regions as Senior Vice-President Development. From 2011 to 2015, Benoit-Etienne
Domenget was Managing Director of Accor Switzerland, leading the expansion of the brand
portfolio in the Swiss market. In this role, he directly supervised 55 hotels and was responsible
for leading the rapid growth of the network. Over the past two years, Benoit-Etienne Domenget
has been leading Michel Reybier Hospitality Group, encompassing luxury hotels such as La
Réserve and Victoria-Jungfrau Collection, vineyards and wellness businesses. Benoît-Etienne
Domenget graduated from HEC business school in Paris.


In his new role, Benoît-Etienne Domenget will be responsible for providing overall leadership and
the strategic vision of Sommet Education, ensuring that the group together with its institutions
becomes the market leader in hospitality management education.
